With the release of Apex Legends, many gamers are currently trying to find the best mouse sensitivity settings that will make them a consistent champion. However, it can be difficult to find the sensitivity settings for Apex Legends because it is a game that is fast paced, yet also has a long time to kill. This makes it extremely difficult to find that sweet spot where the sensitivity is high enough that you have mobility but low enough so that you can remain accurate throughout the long time to kill of Apex Legends. In this article, we have created a guide that will help you find the best mouse DPI and sensitivity setting for Apex Legends that is right for you.

Moreover, having a good mouse can play a huge role in how well you perform when gaming. An ergonomic mouse with a good sensor can drastically improve your accuracy. I can attest to this as I saw a great improvement in my accuracy going from a Logitech G203 to a Logitech G703. Therefore, you can also check out our review of the recommended mouse for apex Legends to help improve your aim.

Mouse DPI for Apex Legends

Low DPI (400-800)

We find a low DPI to be ideal for a game such as Apex Legends. With a low DPI, it will indeed take more effort to move around in game. However, the accuracy gained when aiming down sites while in combat is well worth it.

Think about it, a low DPI will take much more effort than a flick of the wrist and will require movement of the arm to maneuver and loot throughout the map. But when it comes to combat be it hip fire or aiming down sites, you will have a larger margin for error due to a lower DPI that allows you to better maintain your accuracy when engaging an enemy.

The time to kill in Apex Legends is quite long, which makes a lower mouse DPI ideal for keeping your aim on your enemy. This is why if you check the Apex Legends DPI sensitivity setting of Shroud and the DPI sensitivity setting of Ninja you will see that its either 800 DPI or below.

High DPI (1000-2000)

If you have a 1000 DPI or above mouse sensitivity setting, your ability to maneuver and loot will require less effort, with the flick of a wrist being sufficient for most movements.

However, when it comes to combat, you will most likely find it very difficult to keep your aim on your enemy throughout the long duration of Apex legend’s time to kill. A higher DPI sensitivity will make your aim less accurate and precise when hip firing or aiming down sites. This is because a higher DPI decreases your margin of error when aiming. The slightest movement could completely take your aim of your enemy resulting in inaccuracy.

However, a higher DPI may actually be better for some players, but we recommend that you start off with a lower DPI of 400 or 800. And if need be, increase it gradually till you find a DPI sensitivity setting that is right for you.

Final Take

It is important to note that finding your best Apex Legends sensitivity setting is not a simple task. You can copy the settings of well-known gamers such as Shroud and Ninja, but just because those settings work for them doesn’t mean that they will work for you. We are all different both physically and mentally, therefore it is best that you take the time to tweak and play around with the sensitivity settings of Apex Legends using the contents of this guide. This will help you find your optimal mouse sensitivity setting in Apex Legends and hopefully make you a consistent Champion.
