Apex Legends is an extremely popular game with both gamers and streamers worldwide. When you’re playing such a competitive game, you need any advantage you can get over your opponents. And, even though a mouse is a fairly personal thing, choosing an amazing keyboard for Apex Legends can be done quite easily.

Corsair K70 RGB MK.2
We’ll start things off with one of Corsair’s most popular keyboards, the K70 RGB in its second iteration. It’s made out of anodized brushed aluminum, which makes it incredibly durable and premium feeling. If you want one keyboard to last you for a good couple of years, you’ll want to give it a chance.
There are Cherry MX Speed switches inside, which are linear switches with a 45g actuation force. Compared to the highly popular Red switches, the Speeds have an actuation point at 1.2mm, making them much faster and better for gaming.
In terms of additional features, you have per-key RGB backlighting which you can control via Corsair’s iCUE software. If you have other compatible products, iCUE lets you control them and synchronize the lighting across the board. There’s also a USB passthrough port so you can connect your mouse, for example. It also comes with 8MB of storage, so you can create macros and profiles and store them on your keyboard.
If you’re looking for a feature-rich keyboard that will last quite a bit, the K70 RGB MK.2 may very well be our favorite keyboard for Apex Legends.

Redragon K556 Devarajas RGB
If you’re somewhat limited by your budget, you could take a look at the Redragon K556 RGB. It’s a full-size mechanical keyboard with a durable construction. It also has the added bonus of IP67 water resistance. We’ve all spilled something on our keyboards at one point, so this is a welcome addition.
The switches are Brown switches, which are tactile but still good for gaming and all-around use. In the box, you will also get 8 spare switches, so in case something goes wrong, you have a replacement that’s identical to what you have in the keyboard.
There are 18 backlight modes for you to choose from, and you can pretty much adjust everything. If you’d rather prefer a single color backlight, there are 9 colors available, and you can change the brightness.
If you want a good, quality keyboard, but don’t want to spend too much, the Redragon K556 is an excellent option. It also has a brushed aluminum frame to add some durability, as well as a gold-plated USB port. All things considered, it is an excellent option for both gaming, and general use.

Razer BlackWidow Elite
Razer is one of the most popular, if not the most popular, names in the gaming peripherals industry. Their BlackWidow is an excellent example of their quality, and is an example of a great keyboard for Apex Legends.
To begin with, it comes with Razer mechanical switches. You can choose between yellow (silent and linear), orange (silent and tactile) or green (clicky and tactile) switches. Whichever option you go for, they’re rated at 80 million keystrokes, so they should last you a good while.
The BlackWidow Elite also has support for Razer Chroma, which is their advanced RGB configurator, as well as Razer Synapse for macro recording and custom button bindings. A welcome addition is the multi-function digital dial on the top right corner which lets you adjust things such as brightness and volume, and you’re also getting three media keys next to it.
To round out the package, you get USB and 3.5mm audio pass through, in what’s undoubtedly an excellent keyboard. The price may be a bit high for some, but if you can afford it, this is definitely a great option for gamers.

HyperX Alloy FPS
Just like Razer and Corsair make quite a lot of flashy gaming products, HyperX tends to lean towards more minimalist, subtle designs. Their Alloy FPS is a great example of this, designed with a steel frame with minimal bezels, which takes up just as much space as the keys themselves.
Inside, you’ll find genuine Cherry MX Blue switches, which are clicky and tactile, so you can be sure you’ve pressed the key you wanted to. However, note that they’re loud and might not be the friendliest option if you’re not alone in the room.
Instead of RGB, you only get red backlight with the HyperX Alloy FPS. There’s 100% anti-ghosting and full N-key rollover, Windows key lock, and a detachable cable. All of these things make it an excellent combination for gamers. In the box are also a few textured, colored keycaps that replace some of the stock ones if you’d prefer grippy WASD keys.
Last but not least, we have a USB port that you can use for charging, which comes in handy. If you’re looking for a good keyboard for Apex Legends, and want a full-size keyboard with no unnecessary features and an elegant design, this might be the one to get.

SteelSeries Apex M750
SteelSeries is another one of those brands that have been around seemingly forever, and their products have evolved with time. Their Apex M750 sits just below the M800 in the lineup and is one of their premium mechanical keyboards.
The board makes use of SteelSeries’ own QX2 linear switches, which are excellent for gaming. The keyboard is made of 5000 series aluminum alloy, which is durable and lightweight. Don’t let that “lightweight” part push you away, the keyboard will stay on your desk and won’t move around too much.
The Apex M750 has very good software integration. It works with PrismSync lighting, and you can even get Discord notifications on the keyboard’s backlight, so you know when you have new messages or if your mic is muted. GameSense illumination will let the backlight respond to in-game events, such as your health level, low ammo, etc. Key customization is done via the SteelSeries Engine, and you can set up macros and profiles as well.
If you’re after a quality keyboard from a reputable brand and want as many features in it as possible, the SteelSeries Apex M750 might be an excellent keyboard for you.

Logitech G910 Orion Spark RGB
We couldn’t do a gaming peripherals list without including something from Logitech’s G series of products. Their G910 Orion Spark keyboard is made with gamers in mind and has quite a bit of advanced features.
To begin with, inside are Romer-G switches which have 25% faster actuation compared to other popular switches. The RGB illumination can be customized per-key, and there are 16 million colors for you to choose from. You also have 9 additional keys, known as G-keys, which allow you to create custom macros and bind them to the buttons. If you’re playing something where you need to do a lot of repetitive actions quickly, this will certainly come in handy. While we’re talking additional buttons, there is a one-touch control panel which lets you control your media playback.
Last but not least, you get the Arx Control App and the dock. This allows you to place your smartphone or tablet on the keyboard, and be able to access in-game data on it, without needing to interrupt your game. This might not be the absolute best keyboard for Apex Legends, but it does come really close to the title.

EagleTec KG010 RGB
Before we move on to quieter, non-mechanical keyboards, we have to mention the EagleTec KG010, which is another budget option for gamers. It’s made to include all the essentials, plus a few premium features, without breaking the bank.
The switches inside are blue mechanical switches, tactile and clicky. Not the best if you’re not alone in your room, but otherwise excellent all-round switches. You have RGB backlight and double-shot keycaps for optimum visibility at night. There’s a choice between five different lighting modes, as well as five brightness settings, and the RGB backlight is user programmable.
The KG010 is made of aircraft-grade aluminum and ABS plastic. This combination keeps weight reasonable and makes sure the build quality is as good as it gets. There are full N-key rollover and splash-proof keys, as well as a gold-plated USB connector.
The EagleTec KG010 may not be the top keyboard for Apex Legends, but for anyone who’s limited by their budget, it’s tough to beat. You have quality switches, an excellent construction, and RGB lighting to top it all off. If this is all you need, you should absolutely give the KG010 a chance.
Non-Mechanical Keyboards for Apex Legends:

Corsair K55 RGB
Even though they’re better known for their mechanical keyboards, Corsair also has some excellent membrane options for those of us who actually prefer a quieter keyboard. Their K55 RGB is a prime example of this, it gives you all the features you might want from a premium keyboard, minus the noise.
For starters, you have a three-zone RGB backlight system which gives you over 10 preconfigured RGB lighting modes. Which one you choose is completely up to you. You’ll also find six macro keys that you can remap and use for quickly doing repetitive actions. On the top right you get multimedia and volume adjust keys, so you don’t have to leave your game just to lower the volume level.
The keys are also quiet and responsive which aid in providing a satisfying feel. There isn’t a full N-key rollover, unfortunately, but multi-key anti-ghosting allows for as many simultaneous presses as is possible with a membrane keyboard.
The K55’s icing on the cake is its compatibility with the Xbox One. If you have the console and play games on it with a keyboard and mouse, you might want to take a closer look at it. It’s also a great option for Apex Legends if you aren’t a fan of noise coming from anywhere else but your headphones.

Razer Ornata Chroma
Razer doesn’t only make mechanical keyboards, they make some really good “hybrid” ones as well. What do we mean by “hybrid”? Well, the keys are actuated with an actual membrane rubber dome. However, you get a satisfying, crisp and tactile mechanical click.
The keycaps of the Ornata Chroma are lower in height, which allows for quicker actuation – something that’s much appreciated with gamers nowadays. Gamers will also like the fact that you have 10-key rollover and anti-ghosting, which lets you press up to 10 keys at the same time without any issues. A 1000Hz polling rate ensures the fastest possible transmission to your computer.
The backlight is powered by Razer’s Chroma software, and all keys are individually backlit. You can customize the backlight as much as you want to. The comfort of the keyboard is excellent, and the magnetic leatherette wrist rest adds a good place for you to put your hands while gaming.
If you’re looking for a good keyboard from a reputable brand, but would rather avoid the noise that a mechanical keyboard makes, the Razer Ornata Chroma could be an excellent option. If you’re willing to pay that much for a non-mechanical keyboard, that is.

NPET K10
We’re wrapping up the list with another budget option, this time by NPET. The K10 is made for both gaming and office use. It’s a full-size keyboard with an ergonomic design, compatible with just about anything. It’s plug and play, meaning you won’t need any software to control any of its features.
The membrane switches are made to feel like a mechanical keyboard, and it has removable keycaps you can clean easily. There’s a rainbow backlight which is controllable by the Fn and LED keys, no software needed. The keys are all water resistant and there are spill holes at the bottom so liquid can’t damage the board.
What makes this a great keyboard for Apex Legends if you’re extremely limited by your budget are the 26 keys that don’t conflict. It’s not N-key rollover, but it’s much better than the 6-key rollover you get on boards at this price range. If you’re looking for a good all-around keyboard that you can do everything with, the NPET K10 might be the one to go for.
